Man Utd's Jesse Lingard extends loan spell with Birmingham City

Championship side Birmingham City have revealed that the club has convinced Manchester United in keeping hold of talented youngster Jesse Lingard for an extended loan spell.

The 20-year-old striker had initially joined the Blues on a one-month loan deal in October, had his stint extended till December 14.<br />

However, the Midlands club have now confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the Red Devils, and Lingard will remain at St Andrew's until January 1.<br />

Lingard has scored six goals in seven appearances for Birmingham this season.
