Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has denied speculation linking him with a switch for Wolfsburg playmaker Diego.
The 28-year-old Brazil international had earlier claimed that a number of Premier League clubs including the Saints and Arsenal, were keen in acquiring his services during the winter transfer window.<br />
However, Pochettino was quick to deny the claims suggesting that the club have no interest in signing the player. "Of course we know of him, as we know of any other players. But that piece of news doesn't make any sense, because Southampton is not interested in him, " He said.<br />
"We have also seen this news in Spanish media, so I don't really know where these rumours come from."<br />
Diego has scored the solitary goal in his 12 appearances for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
