Chelsea have apparently launched an official bid to sign Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin during the winter transfer window.
The 27-year-old Colombia International, who has been in excellent form for the Nerazzurri this season, is understood to have attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in recent weeks.
However, a report from The Metro claims that the Stamford Bridge club are in pole position to secure the player's signature. The Red Devils officials are believed to have travelled to Milan to have talks with the player but the Blues are on the front foot to acquire the services of the talented midfielder having agreed a fee of around £10m.
Guarin has earned 47 caps for the Colombian national side.
