The Hammers manager Sam Allardyce has been a huge admirer of the Icelandic international's talents, and has been linked with the player's services in recent months.<br />

The 24-year-old, who has amassed 40 goals in his last 45 games of the Dutch club, is expected to make a move from the club during the New Year, and is expected to be the subject of bidding war in the upcoming transfer window.<br />

West Ham are likely to make an initial bid of around £5m in the New Year, with the likes of Celtic, Napoli and Lazio also monitoring the player's transfer situation.
