Man Utd lead race for Josh Brownhill's signature

19 December 2013 - 13:20

Manchester United are apparently leading the race to sign Preston North End starlet Josh Brownhill in January.

  • The 17-year-old youngster has been in excellent form for the League One outfit since his debut in October, and has induced interest from the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Fulham and Manchester United for his services.

Manager Simon Grayson is keen on tempting Brownhill on signing a new deal at Deepsdale, to prevent the star from leaving the club on a small nominal fee in the winter transfer window.

Brownhill, who is dubbed as 'The New Aaron Ramsey', is yet to sign a professional deal with The Lilywhites.
