Zenit St.Petersburg join race to sign Premier League target Jorginho

Russian gianst Zenit St Petersburg have apparently joined the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in the race to acquire the services of Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho in January.

The club are willing to table a bid worth £8.5m to land the talented midfielder during the New Year. Jorginho has been in top form for the Serie A newcomers Hellas Verona and is considered as one of the hottest prospects to come out of Italy at the moment having has an excellent start to his career in the top tier.<br />

Zenit are readying a January bid for the player, and are willing to offer a yearly wage structure of around £1.1m.<br />

Jorginho, who has notched up 7 goals and 3 assists in 16 appearances for Verona this season, has propelled the club to sixth place in the League standings.
