The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has recently expressed his discontent over the squad's lack of depth in midfield, and the Metro claims that the Merseyside side club could make a move for the talented 23-year-old defensive midfielder.<br />

Liverpool are expected to launch a bid in the region of £7m for the Ghanaian international's services, with the player keen on plying his trade in the World's elite football league sooner rather than later.<br />

However, the Reds will have to fight off interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea for the player's signature.
