Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan will spend the New Year period attempting to persuade Molde manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that the Welsh club is the next best place to continue his development. Tan contacted the Norwegian yesterday regarding the vacant position.

Tan contacted the Norwegian yesterday regarding the vacant position.Since Cardiff fired Malky Mackay last week, the club's supporters are furious that the board of the Welsh side had moved quickly to fire their former manager. The club are looking to hire a high profile manager and will bankroll a large transfer spend in January.According to a report from Norway, Solskjaer has already flown to England to discuss terms with the Bluebirds.
