Sunderland are readying a move to sign Argentine striker Ignacio Scocco, according to football expert Tim Vickery.
The Black Cats failed on acquiring the services of the talented forward in the summer, as he made a switch to Brazilian outfit Internacional for a fee of £3.5million.
However, South American football expert Vickery has insisted that manager Gus Poyet will make a move for the 28-year-old in January, with the club desperate to add attacking recruits in the transfer window, as they aim to beat the drop zone against the odds.
Scocco has failed to replicated his goal-scoring exploits for Brazilian club this season, having scored just 4 goals in 21 games in the Campeonato Brasileiro so far.
