Roger Johnson joins West Ham United on loan

06 January 2014 - 23:21

Roger Johnson has apparently joined Premier League strugglers West Ham United on loan for the rest of the season, according to reports.

  • Barcelona have genuine interest in Chelsea forward
  • Man Utd handed boost in signing West Ham star?
  • Jack Sullivan, who happens to be the son of West Ham co-owner David Sullivan, has claimed that the Wolves centre-half has joined the club on loan for the season, in order to provide sufficient back-up to the defensive department.<br />

Reports earlier suggested that the Hammers were closing in on the services of the 30-year-old, as they look to overcome their recent slump in form.<br />

However, with no official confirmation over the transfer, Jack has assured the West Ham faithful that the defender has signed up on a temporary deal at Upton Park for the rest of the campaign.<br />

"ROGER JOHNSON has signed till the end of the season, as emergency cover at CB," he tweeted. "He might surprise a few people. More news soon."<br />

West Ham are currently placed 19th in the Premier League table.
