It is believed that Rennes have already had a bid of &euro;2m rejected for the player whom Espanyol signed from Strasbourg four years ago.<br />

Thievy has revealed that his club are asking for a fee of &euro;4m for him.<br />

&ldquo;It&rsquo;s true that I&rsquo;ve spoken with their representatives,&rdquo; he told Luis Fernandez&rsquo;s radio programme in France.<br />

&ldquo;They have a fantastic project and it&rsquo;s an interesting option for me. The Espanyol management told me before that they would sell me for &euro;10m, but now it is &euro;4m, so that&rsquo;s good.&rdquo;<br />

The 21-year-old has made 11 La Liga appearances for Los Pericos this term, scoring three times.
