Fiorentina have dismissed speculation insisting that the club were interested in re-signing Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic in January.
The Italian outfit, who are currently short of striking options upfront, with the likes of Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez under the injured list, have been associated with moves for former players Adrian Mutu and Stevan Jovetic in the past few days.
However, the club's president Andrea Della Valle revealed that the club are unlikely to sign Jovetic during the winter transfer window.
"We are looking for high quality reinforcements but it is not easy to find a player like Giuseppe Rossi in the January transfer window," He said.
"We are attached to them, but these suggestions are very difficult. It is virtually impossible for Jovetic to come back."
Jovetic has played just five games for Manchester City due to his sequence of injuries.
