Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is considering a transfer for Tottenham's defender Kyle Naughton. The youngster has been in and out of the first team this season and Spurs' manager Tim Sherwood is ready to sell for £5 million.
The Villans have made the signing of a new defender their top priority in this transfer window and Kyle Naughton has been linked with a move to Lambert's side after he was made available for transfer should another team match the club's asking price.<br />
The 25-year-old has played just 18 first team games for Tottenham since arriving at the club back in 2009 from Sheffield United and is growing increasingly frustrated at a perceived lack of first team football at White Hart Lane.<br />
Tottenham have told the versatile player that he can leave Spurs and Aston Villa are seemingly in pole position to secure a deal.
