The high flying Serie A outfit were associated with a switch for the talented Netherlands international the past month.<br />

Heitinga, who has just featured once for the Toffees this season, rebuffed a chance to move to West Ham United earlier this month, as he did not feel it was the right move for him.<br />

TalkSPORT reports that Roma will make a formal transfer offer for the Dutch defender, with Nicolas Burdisso set to leave the club in the near future.<br />

Stoke City are also keeping tabs on the player's situation.
