AS Roma line up move for John Heitinga

Italian giants AS Roma are preparing a move for Everton defender John Heitinga during the winter transfer window.

The high flying Serie A outfit were associated with a switch for the talented Netherlands international the past month.


Heitinga, who has just featured once for the Toffees this season, rebuffed a chance to move to West Ham United earlier this month, as he did not feel it was the right move for him.


TalkSPORT reports that Roma will make a formal transfer offer for the Dutch defender, with Nicolas Burdisso set to leave the club in the near future.
