Belgian under-21 starlet Michy Batshuayi is a target for both Everton and Benfica, but the Toffees are believed to be in pole position to wrap up a deal for the 20-year-old.
Batshuayi has been on the books at Standard Liege since 2011 and has scored an impressive 32 goals in 80 games for his side. For the Belgium under-21 team he has also bagged an impressive 5 goals in 10 appearances.
Roberto Martinez has deployed some of his most trusted scouts to catch the Belgian in action playing for Standard and have sent an excellent report back to England.
The player is likely to cost around £5.5 million should Standard decide to part company with the frontman.
