Southampton's interim chairman Katharina Liebherr will offer the Saints' manager Mauricio Pochettino a new contract at St. Mary's worth almost double his current salary.
After Nicola Cortese parted company with the Saints last week, there have been concerns that Pochettino would soon too head for the exit door.
However, Pochettino could be persuaded to stay as the club prepare a massive contract offer for the Argentine.
Pochettino has been linked with various roles since the turn of the year, including the Tottenham manager's job after Andre Villas-Boas was fired from the role.
