Real Betis name their new Manager

Gabriel Calderon has been named as the new coach of Real Betis after the club sacked Juan Carlos Garrido. The 5-0 loss at home turned out to be the last game for Garrido who only took charge at the club a mere five weeks ago.

  • Now the 53 year old Argentine who has previously managed in France, Switzerland and the Middle East takes charge of the club.<br />

    Calderon also played for the club between 1983 and 1987, making 74 club appearances.<br />

    Speaking to reporters, the new Betis manager said,<br />

    &ldquo;This has always been my dream. When a delicate situation like this arises, everyone has to come together.<br />

    &ldquo;When a loved one is sick, you have to pull together. I come here with hope, and the belief that we can do well.&rdquo;
