Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates keen on joining Nacional on loan

Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates has insisted that he wants to make a temporary switch to Uruguayan outfit Nacional in the winter transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been sidelined with an injury and has not featured for the Reds since August last year.

The Uruguayan international is now hopeful of joining his hometown club this month, in order to complete his recovery from injury.

"It would be beautiful to join Nacional and complete my recovery in Uruguay with my family and friends," Coates said.

"The negotiations can be hard sometimes, and we have to wait a bit."

Coates joined the Reds from Nacional in 2011.
