Southampton are looking at the prospect of landing the services of Braga midfielder Rafa Silva, according to SportsDirectNews.
The 20-year-old, who recently signed a five-year contract extension with the Primeira Liga outfit, is said to be highly regarded by the Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has sent scouts to watch him in action.
The report claims that Braga had rebuffed a £4m bid from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen for the player's signature in the winter transfer window.
The talented midfielder is considered as a potential candidate to feature for the Portuguese senior squad in the World Cup finals in Brazil during the summer.
