Gilberto ready for Juve

24 November 2007 - 14:02

Gilberto Silva has admitted that he would be interested leaving Arsenal in January for the Turin giants Juventus. The Serie A side have been repeatedly linked with the Brazilian who has fallen out of favour in place of Mathieu Flamini.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Spurs, Gilchrist starts
  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs

  • He now appears to see his future away from north London, and told the Daily Star: "I would gladly move to Turin. But their directors should know that I do not want to go to war with Arsenal, so if they want me they should talk to my club."

He added: "Juventus are a prestigious club. They have overcome the problems that forced them to come back from Serie B (Juve were relegated as punishment for their part in a match-fixing scandal).

"I feel disposed towards moving to Italy. I like Serie A, despite the recent crowd trouble."
