Atletico Madrid are considering offering a new deal to Premier League target Diego Costa, according to a report.

The Sunday People claims that Atletico are keen on convincing the talented striker in to committing his future with the club, and are ready to offer a one-year extension, which would see him remain at Vicente Calderon until the summer of 2019.



The report also suggests that the new deal would increase Costa's buy-out clause to £41m and this would fend off interest from top European clubs for his services in the summer transfer window.



The Brazilian-born Spanish international has notched up 27 goals in 36 appearances for Atletico this season.
