Inter, Roma pick up points

Roma earned a last minute victory over Genoa thanks to another last-minute header from on fire defender Christian Panucci. Elsewhere, Inter defeated Atalanta 2-1 to stay on top - just ahead of Roma.

  • Honduran striker David Suazo opened the scoring after 10 minutes before Argentinean frontman Julio Cruz doubled the advantage in the 75th minute. Sergio Floccari narrowed the gap with a splendid volley six minutes before the break.



    Christian Panucci's last-gasp header earned AS Roma a precious victory over Genoa.



    With one minute left, the Italy full-back connected with David Pizarro's free-kick at the far post to head home and secure a hard-fought win.



    Inter Milan are still on top of Serie A with 28 points but Roma are still trailing them three points behind.
