Everton manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly considering a summer offer to sign former star Jack Rodwell from Manchester City, according to The Guardian.

The 22-year-old left the Toffees for Manchester City in the summer of 2012, but has since then failed to make any reasonable impact, with hamstring injuries denting his chances of featuring for the first-team on a regular basis.

 

Having made just seven Premier League starts for the Capital One cup winners up to now, the Guardian reports that the Merseyside are confident of re-signing the talented midfield star for the next season.

 

Everton are also keen on securing the services of on-loan midfielder Gareth Barry on a permanent basis.
