Benfica manager Jorge Jesus has apparently adding fuel to speculation associating the club's star forward Rodrigo Moreno Machado with a summer move to Liverpool.
The talented striker has been strongly linked with a summer exit from the Primeira Liga giants, following a string of excellent displays in the league as well as in Europe.
Jesus has given his insight on the transfer rumours by insisting that the player could leave the club during the summer transfer window.
“It’s normal. Every Benfica player is in a big window,” The Portuguese said.“The league is full of high quality players so it’s normal for other clubs to be interested. Rodrigo is going through a good moment.”
Rodrigo joined Benfica from Real Madrid in the summer of 2010.
