Manchester City have reportedly dismissed speculation linking the club with a summer move for Brazilian right-back Dani Alves, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The talented defender has been linked with a switch away from the Catalan giants in the summer, with widespread reports claiming that the La Liga outfit would let go of the player in order to free up some cash for the remodelling of the Camp Nou.

 

City were believed to be keen on making a move for the former Sevilla defender at the end of the season, but Mundo Deportivo claims that sources at the Manchester club have denied the interest.

 

Alves is expected to decide on his future after this summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.
