La Liga giants Real Madrid have apparently ruled out a summer move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
The talented German international has been constantly linked with a summer exit from BVB in recent months, with Los Blancos considered a possible destination.
However, a report from El Confidencial claims that Real Madrid will not pursue a move for their former Nuremburg star, and this could provide a perfect platform for Manchester United to secure his services when the summer transfer window reopens.
The Red Devils are willing to pay a fee in the region of £25m for the German international, who has not featured for Dortmund since August 2013.
