Birmingham City are reportedly ready to talk to Scotland boss Alex McLeish after hearing that the ex-Rangers boss has asked for permission to leave his post as Scotland boss and manager the Blues instead.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Birmingham captain Liam Ridgewell said on the possibility of McLeish joining: “I’m sure the chairman and board want to get it done quickly like we do,” said Ridgewell.

“We want to meet the new manager and get on with things.

“It’s a busy time coming up with some important games as well, so the quicker it’s resolved the better.”
