Schalke 04 chairman Clemens Torries has revealed that the club plan to keep hold of their star midfielder Julian Draxler beyond the current campaign.
Recent reports have claimed that Arsenal have placed the talented German international as their No.1 target for the summer, having failed to land his services during the winter transfer window.
However, Torries has claimed that the 20-year-old is likely to extend his stay with the Bundesliga giants for atleast another season, and it would take extraordinary circumstances for the club to part ways with the player.
"If nothing extraordinary happens, Julian will stay with us," Schalke 04 chairman said."I am convinced that he will play even longer than this one next season at Schalke."
Schalke are currently 3rd in the Bundesliga.
