Tottenham manager David Sherwood wants to sign Cagliari defender Davide Astori in the summer.The 27-year-old centre back has long been linked with a move to England as the likes of Everton and Chelsea have both made enquiries for the player.
It is understood that Astori can leave Cagliari for a fee of around £8 million. The Italian international has been a revelation this season in Serie A and is hoping to secure a move away from his current club, with a transfer to Germany or England his preference.
