Schuster offered new deal

27 November 2007 - 20:02

Bernd Schuster has been offered a new deal at Real Madrid. The Madrid giants have moved to ignore speculation that England are tempted to sign the German boss by giving Schuster a new contract offer.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Spanish newspaper Marca revealed, in their Tuesday, edition that the German tactician is set to accept the new offer but has asked for a salary raise.

The Real supremo didn't put a rescission clause when he hired Schuster to avoid paying any penalties in case he wants to split ways with him like what happen with Fabio Capello as he had to cash $20m.

Schuster has been linked with England job that is vacant for the moment after Steve McClaren was sacked after the 3-2 defeat to Croatia in Euro 2008 qualification.
