Berbatov signs new AS Monaco contract

Dimitar Berbatov has signed a new one year contract with French club AS Monaco. The 33-year-old joined the club only last summer and impressed for the Ligue 1 side.

On the club's Twitter account, Monaco confirmed Berbatov had penned a new deal: "AS Monaco is delighted to announce the club has agreed a one-year contract extension with Dimitar Berbatov."

Berbatov scored six goals and made four others in just 11 league games.
