Manchester City have reportedly become the latest club to be linked with the signature of former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, according to The Mirror.

Reports had claimed earlier that the England international has agreed to join new MLS New York City, who were bought by Manchester City and the New York Yankees in 2013.

However, with their season only to kick-off in March 2015, City are open to offering the former Chelsea star with a six-month deal.

Lampard has recently admitted that he would not play for another Premier League club.
