Liverpool have made an offer for Germany under-21 international midfielder Emre Can. Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that a bid has been made for the German youngster.
Michael Schade the Leverkusen chief executive has confirmed that Liverpool have tabled a bid: "Until Tuesday, it was a rumour. Now I can confirm that an official offer from Liverpool is received by mail.''
Whilst Bayern Munich have an agreement in the player's contract that allows the club to buy back Can for a cheap fee, it is understood the Bavarian side have decided against making an offer.
