Stelios ready to leave Bolton

Bolton's Greek midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos has threatened to leave the club unless Gary Megson gives him more playing time. The midfielder feels that the club has left him out in the cold.

  • "I am not starting the games I would like to start and that troubles me. I am used to playing week-in, week-out," he told The Sun.

"Every player wants to play and if I do not get that chance I will have to see what I can do for my future. The only thing I can do is concentrate on the next game and hope I am playing.

"I did not have the best start to the season because I had surgery on a hernia which had to be done. Now I am 100 per cent fit and focused.

"Gary Megson has not spoken to me. I don't know if I am more involved than I was under Sammy Lee."
