Roberto Martinez signs new Everton contract

12 June 2014 - 23:05

Everton have rewarded manager Roberto Martinez with a new five year contract. Martinez has continued David Moyes' good work in his first season at Goodison Park and the club have decided to extend his stay for the forseeable future.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Martinez guided Everton to their record points haul in the Premier League and a fifth placed finish, leaving the Toffees with no doubt that Martinez is the right man for the long term future of the club.

The 40-year-old is now tied down to the club until 2019.
