England manager Roy Hodgson has told reporters that he will not resign as head coach, despite a bitter 2-1 defeat against Uruguay.
"I don't have any intention to resign," said Hodgson, 66. "I've been really happy with the way the players have responded to the work we've done.
"I'm bitterly disappointed, of course, but I don't feel I need to resign, no."
