Robbie Fowler expects Luis Suarez to leave Liverpool

Fowler: Suarez could leave Liverpool

Robbie Fowler expects Luis Suarez to leave Liverpool

25 June 2014 - 12:49

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler expects Liverpool striker Luis Suarez to leave the Merseyside giants, having been caught in yet another biting incident.

  • Liam Rosenior drops huge hint on Liam Delap's future
  • Chelsea leading race to sign £70m Brazilian star
  • The Uruguayan international has been constantly linked with a summer exit from the Reds this summer, with Barcelona and Real Madrid keen on securing his services in recent weeks.

However, Fowler believes that the 27-year-old's behaviour on-field could force Liverpool into letting go of their star striker.

"Most Liverpool fans love him as a player but he's continually dragged the club's name through the mud," Fowler said. "It's not right, especially after how they helped him last time. They tried to rehabilitate him. I wouldn't be surprised if Suarez left now."

FIFA have opened displinary proceedings against the Reds star, who appeared to have bit the shoulder of Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's 1-0 win over Italy at the World Cup finals in Brazil.

If found guilty, the former Ajax star could face a two-year worldwide ban.
