Arsenal to make renewed offer for Lars Bender

Arsenal are apparently readying a fresh bid for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender, according to The Express.

The report claims that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is ready to make a bid in the region of £21m for the Germany international having seen a £15m offer rejected by the Bundesliga side last summer. 

The talented midfielder signed a new deal with Leverkusen in October, but is said to be open to a switch to the Premier League ahead of the next season.

Bender could join the North London club this summer, given the presence of a number of German contigents at the Emirates.
