Arsenal are set to complete their first signing of the summer transfer window, according to reports in France.
The Gunners have been in the search for a talented right-back to replace Bacary Sagna, who signed for Manchester City on a free transfer.
However, with their prime target Serge Aurier likely to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer, the North London outfit have shift their focus to Magpies defender Mathieu Debuchy.
It is understood that manager Arsene Wenger had a good look at the right-back during France's 2-0 win over Nigeria at the World Cup yesterday, and a deal could be finalized for the 28-year-old in the next few days.
Debuchy signed for the Tyneside outfit from Lille in January 2013.
