Louis Van Gaal wants to bring Dutch international defender Stefan De Vrij to join him at Old Trafford. The Feyenoord man is available for aroun 15 million euros.

An important part of the Netherlands' World Cup squad, De Vrij has been monitored closely by several teams but it is Manchester United who are set to sign the player. According to reports from Holland, Van Gaal wants to partner De Vrij with Thomas Vermaelen of Arsenal as part of a new look defence. Should both deals be wrapped up by United, the club's transfer spending will he finished for the summer.
