Yaya Toure drops long term Man City stay hint

30 July 2014 - 07:03

31-year-old midfielder Yaya Toure has told reporters that he could yet still stay at Man City, despite reports that the Ivory Coast international wanted to leave in favour of a move to Barcelona.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • Toure was one of City's best players during last season's Premier League title winning campaign and had been linked with a move away.

Despite that, Toure has now changed his mind and hinted that he could remain at the Etihad for the remainder of his career.

“It was not a case of me wanting to leave the club. I stayed quiet, I believe that is the right way, and at the end of the day it’s my decision,” Toure said. “I will stay at Man City for as long as possible.”
