Newcastle have wrapped up a deal to sign striker Facundo Ferreyra from Shakhtar Donetsk. The Argentine forward becomes Alan Pardew's seventh signing of a busy summer.
The striker requested a move away from the Ukraine due to the ongoing conflict there and has instead moved to Newcastle for the upcoming campaign. The striker told reporters: "My family was very worried about me and persuaded me not to go to Ukraine. They thought it was very dangerous."
The 23-year-old joins on a loan deal worth approximately £1.5 million a season and the player will then be able to make a permanent switch to St James' for a fee of around £5.8 million next summer.
