Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is delighted to have almost wrapped up a deal for Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow. The highly rated young duo will join the Toon and return back to Nottingham Forest on a season long loan.
The pair are very highly rated by Pardew and it is understood that Newcastle were locked in talks with Forest for over two months to persuade the club to sell the duo.
"Every time we sign a player we think it's good business," Pardew told reporters. "We think it's part of what we do. "It's our judgement. They are two great assets for Newcastle United."
