Shay Given has told his Newcastle team mates to continue to regain their focus as they go into their crucial weekend Premiership match against Birmingham. The point against Arsenal is what the keeper believes Newcastle need to match.
"We've had some bad results and when you're a big club like Newcastle the pressure mounts on the team and the manager," the Irish goalkeeper said in the Daily Mirror.
"We've got to focus on Birmingham. We've shown what we can do and we can't duck below that.
"We have to have the same performance from everyone and we need that every week.
"It's a massive game against Birmingham and we have to ensure we get the same work-rate from everyone. If we do I hope we'll get the three points.
"The performance against Arsenal proved that everyone is united, that we're sticking together and that we're behind the manager.
"That's what has to happen to get the club moving forward again."
