Burnley make bid for James McArthur

Wigan Athletic central midfielder James McArthur has been linked with a transfer to Premier League side Burnley. The 26-year-old Scotsman is available for a fee of around 5 million pounds.

Burnley are hoping to wrap up a deal for at least two new players before the end of the transfer window on August 31st. The central midfielder has enjoyed a four year spell with the Latics and is now amongst their most important players at the club.

Wigan manager Uwe Rosler is ready to sell McArthur as the player is desperate for a return to the Premier League.
