Tottenham have made a 7 million euro bid for for Basel defender Fabian Schar. The Swiss international centre back is very highly rated and looks to be closing in on a dream move to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old centre back, who played for Switzerland during the 2014 World Cup, is being tracked by Tottenham's director of football Franco Baldini and a deal is likely to be agreed between Spurs and the Swiss side shortly.
Tottenham have told Michael Dawson that he is likely to be playing a bit part role at Spurs this season, despite having been the first choice centre back at White Hart Lane for over two years. An impressive start to Eric Dier's career at Spurs is also likely to mean Dier will partner Schar as part of a new look defence at Tottenham.
