Preview: Reading vs Liverpool

08 December 2007 - 03:05

Not an easy trip for Liverpool who are travelling for the late afternoon game as one of the only two teams unbeaten in the Premiership, and having won their last five. Reading have only got one point out of their last available twelve.

Michael Duberry (cracked ribs) has resumed training and John Oster is definitely out.

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher is a booking away from a ban and could be rested in place of Jack Hobbs.

    Coppell: Torres scares me

"The difference last time was a £25m centre forward," he said.

"If we are going to get something then we will have to be right at the top of our game.

"Torres is quality. Hopefully we will have learned from last time and if he is playing we will know what to do."

    Reading 1-2 Liverpool

You have to wonder what this game may bring considering Liverpool are on form and Reading are performing miserably; but a win for either side will be needed as each has their own seperate ambitions. An away win is more than likely. Fernando Torres will be the one to stop - and Reading won't be able to.

    Goalscorer: Fernando Torres
