Manchester United are believed to be in negotiations over the potential transfer of Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman to the club, The Telegraph reports.
The Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is understood to have a good relationship with the Netherlands international, and this could play a big part in the transfer agreement.
According to The Telegraph, the Red Devils have begun talks with Roma over the transfer of the 24-year-old, which would most likely take place in January.
Van Gaal has yet to register a win at United, in spite of spending in excess of £140m on players this summer.
