Manchester United have revealed that they have secured the services of Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Ajax on transfer deadline day.
The 16-year-old had been tracked by United's scouts while playing for Ajax at the Aegon Future Cup.
Fosu-Mensah is believed to be highly regarded at the Eredivisie outfit, and will now continue his development at Old Trafford, following an agreement over a fee of around £300,000 for the transfer.
The Mancunian giants have confirmed that the talented defender will not join the club's youth academy until he receives an international clearance.
